Keep Your Tan Looking Good

BEFORE YOUR AIRBRUSH TAN

To prepare for your tanning experience, we recommend you shower in order to exfoliate your entire body. Pay special attention to the knees, ankles, toes and elbows. If you plan on shaving, we suggest this be done 6 to 8 hours prior to your tan and body waxing should be done 24 hours prior to your appointment.

Do not apply moisturizers, make-up or deodorant prior to your appointment. These may affect the way your skin will absorb the tanning solution and cause uneven fading.

When you come to our salon for your tan we suggest you wear nothing “white” and nothing “tight”. Sandals and loose fitting clothing prevent the risk of rubbing your skin before your tan has set.

During the tanning session you may wear whatever you feel comfortable with. For women this is usually swimsuits, our disposable bras and bikinis or opt for no tan lines at all. Men typically wear boxers, briefs, swim trunks or shorts.

Out certified technicians use the utmost discretion with our spray tanning and all tans are done in private.

AFTER YOUR AIRBRUSH TAN

Once your tan has been applied you will need to wait 6-8 hours before showering. This gives the solution adequate time to react with your skin and deepen.

The first two hours are critical to the success of your Spray Soliel tan. Avoid skin contact to prevent the tanning solution to rub off onto your palms. Avoid activities that will cause you to perspire excessively. Avoid backpacks or purses that may rub on your any part of your body.

After a minimum of 6 to 8 hours you can take a post-tan shower and then moisturize your skin. This will help set and maintain the length of your tan. Always moisturize to help prolong the life of your tan. We also offer an after tan extender lotion to maximize the life of your tan.

THINGS TO REMEMBER

Long hot baths, hot tubs, chlorine and saltwater may affect your tan. Water resistant sun block can help counter the effect of these activities.

A woman’s tan may also develop differently during various hormonal changes. The tan may fade quicker, or produce a lighter color than usual.

When wet, pat yourself dry as opposed to rubbing.

Always use a clean razor when shaving. Dull razors scrape off more skin (and tan) than new razors.
